UNAFRAID magazine is dedicated to support female perspectives in the fine arts, literacy practice and social-arts journalism. The magazine was established as a platform to voice marginalized and underrepresented women in the South Florida region and abroad; elevating the woman as a powerful, social investor of voice, logic, reporting, debate, criticism, humor, creativity, imagination and insight. The selected works surround art, artistic lifestyles, gender and identity-politics in fashion, photography, education, reviews, interviews, social-commentary, essays, poetry, critiques, social-anxiety funnies and interviews written by a culturally diverse group of emerging artists.

UNAFRAID magazine believes greatly that impact and social change derives from being true to the authentic self, freedom to speak honestly, diversity, inclusivity and the desire to connect ourselves with cultures outside of our own culture of comfort. By focusing on the voice of the female entity as feminist, queer, non-binary, and of color, we begin to see, feel, hear, and understand the story from a fresh, authentic and unquivering perspective. We provide a safe space for communities outside of our own to understand who we are, eliminate any perception of differences, provide an opportunity to relate their personal histories to the authors as a way to grasp the gripping discrimantions many outside of their culture experience; by developing relationships that lead to mutual empathy and civil respect between class, race, sex and education within communities..

We are UNAFRAID. And, this is what UNAFRAID looks like.
